The Intltool package contains internationalization tools.

10.115.1. Installation of Intltool

Prepare Intltool for compilation: 

./configure --prefix=/usr

Compile the package: 

make

To test the results, issue: 

make check

Install the package: 

make install

Installed programs: intltool-extract, intltool-merge, intltool-prepare, intltool-update, intltoolize
Installed directories: /usr/share/intltool

Generates header files which can be read by gettext
