The Gawk package contains programs for manipulating text files.

6.20.1. Installation of Gawk

Apply a sed which will allow the build system to complete without error: 

cp -v extension/Makefile.in{,.orig}
sed -e 's/check-recursive all-recursive: check-for-shared-lib-support/check-recursive all-recursive:/' \
  extension/Makefile.in.orig > extension/Makefile.in

Prepare Gawk for compilation: 

./configure --prefix=/tools \
    --build=${CLFS_HOST} --host=${CLFS_TARGET}

Compile the package: 

make

Install the package: 

make install
