Dreamlinux continues to impress

Aside from some short tweaking, Dreamlinux continues to impress me. (And that’s not just because it’s blue!)

It definitely has a rough-around-the-edges feel, though. Some installer options don’t seem to work, or you get unexpected results just by opening a window. Networking isn’t impossible, but it is … an experience.

And I still haven’t managed to run an online update. Each time I get an unbootable system.

But it’s very promising. Thus far the English-speaking forums seem deserted, and that might be what makes or breaks it, in my book. I don’t mind tweaking on my own, but if I can’t get at least some guidance (like where to look for things), it’s disappointing.

No matter. I’m enjoying it while my interest holds.
