As a courtesy to listeners …

I’ve split off part of this blog to form a new one at archetypical.wordpress.com. In short, this blog is fed into Planet Ubuntu Users, and it wouldn’t be proper to pipe posts on Arch Linux into that arena.

Since I don’t nearly have the same responsibilities in the Arch community that I do in the Ubuntu community, I don’t anticipate it superceding this blog. I’ll keep both blogs feeding into their reciprocal sidebars, so you won’t have to jump between if you don’t think there’s anything worth following.

For the next day or so I’ll get things in order and try to duplicate some of the information I posted here on that side of the fence. This blog was always intended as a way of reminding myself what worked for me and what didn’t with Ubuntu, and I want the new blog to have that same role — at least at the beginning.

I have a feeling this blog will still carry the bulk of the weight between the two — such as the funny little Dell-Vista quirk that was mentioned earlier this week. And I have a lot of things I want to try, and explain here first. So don’t worry that this is going away any time soon.

In the mean time, please pardon the construction work. 😉

😀 The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. That and the fact that piping all my Arch Linux drivel into Planet Ubuntu Users … well, it didn’t seem courteous.

So you’ve gotten your wish in part, and I’ll see if I can start documenting my Arch Linux travails. I hope it’s of some use to you. Cheers! 😉
