I’m messing with filesystems again, after a failed attempt to rebuild my “production” machine with Arch Linux.
I have caught on to a partition table that throws root and home back together again, but puts swap between that and a boot partition. If I’m going to deviate, I might as well go whole-hog, so I’m tinkering with XFS again. It’s too early to see if there will be a speed boost, but it’s definitely quicker to set up than my usual ext3 systems.
More news as it comes in.
