I was flopping around the Internet and discovered that this is a legitimate command for nvidia-xconfig.

sudo nvidia-xconfig --composite --allow-glx-with-composite --render-accel --add-argb-glx-visuals --no-logo

Well darn. All these months I’ve been hand-editing my xorg.conf to add those lines. That’s a heck of a lot easier.

Now I just add the hardware cursor shadow and the BlankTime and OffTime parameters, and I’m done. Kewl.
