For about a year I’ve been wanting to try the Equinox desktop, but I’ve never had a stitch of luck compiling it. Regardless of the system or distro I use (except, of course, for SaxenOS, which once used Equinox by default 😉 ), it never wants to compile for me.
I thought I might have come across an answer here, but it still doesn’t work for me. I get make errors over missing libraries when I compile efltk, and without that, I can’t even get started on ede.
Oh well. I don’t know what the attraction was in the first place, since it seems the look is very, very Win2k-ish. I don’t know if that would really be a step forward for me, but I thought I’d try.
