Some disassembly required

Spring has returned to my spot on the globe, and that means it’s time to start painting again. I’ve disassembled my 300Mhz Pentium II in hopes of a warmer day tomorrow, and the chance to shoot the casing bright red.

Picking it apart was a little more challenging than some of the other laptops I’ve pulled apart. It’s a good thing Dell keeps service manuals in PDF format on their support site. There are a couple of screws I might never have found otherwise.

When I get it all reassembled and working, I’ll put up pictures, so you don’t have to imagine what an otherwise drab Dell Latitude CPi A-series machine looks like when recast in Red Pepper Krylon Fusion with original Dell Midnight Grey accents. 🙂
