Edit: Unfortunately, the images originally included in this post are gone, because of hosting problems in late 2009. My apologies.
I should really start a category for my Jamendo posts, but I have a tendency to lump them in with Ubuntu things, since the two are synonymous in my mind. Either way, I have some suggestions, if you’re in the game for some new music.
I have eclectic music tastes, which seem to center around what people call “nu jazz” or “acid jazz.” It’s never anything I can put my finger on; I either like something or I don’t.
I’ll give you these, and if you dig them too, that’s cool. If not, that’s cool too. I won’t give much of a description, because I don’t believe the experience of sound lends itself to words. You’re the best judge of what you like.
First, two short and sweet, at about 20 minutes apiece.
Next, two along the same vein, but full-length.
Lastly, two that are closer to pure jazz, with less electronic influence. If you prefer your jazz old-school, you might do well with these.

Remember that it’s all free, and you don’t need an account to download. I believe everything is available in ogg format too, so you don’t have to pollute your gNewSense installation with mp3 codecs. 😉 Enjoy!
