Zim finally comes in handy

I’m recasting a lot of the tweaks and stuff I’m using for the Feisty release, and I finally found a good use for Zim. I had installed it a bunch of times and wanted to get into the nitty-gritty of it, but hadn’t found a practical use for it. I can see now that it’s great for arranging a hierarchy of notes or scribbles, and hyperlinking between them. I’m going to play with the XML output stuff and see if it would be useful for a rudimentary Web site.

I know Tomboy is all the rage, but Tomboy comes with a lot of Gnome dependencies, and I’m not into that. 😉 I want mean and lean.
