This is an exceptionally bad idea

Edit: Unfortunately, the images originally included in this post are gone, because of hosting problems in late 2009. My apologies.

I’m not sure what the Sabayon crew was thinking when they did this, but I for one think it was a very bad idea.

Harassing someone about what browser they use is something banks and corporate weenies do when their IT staffs are too lazy or too incompetent to build a web page to standards. Or when they suck up to Microsoft. Or when they just suck.

Giving someone a hard time about using IE to download your Linux distribution is equally tacky, especially when the person on the other side of the screen could already be a free software proponent. I feel bad for anyone just using their work connection to get better bandwidth than at home.

But worst of all, it makes me want to avoid Sabayon.
