My laptop collection (not really a collection, since there are only three) is growing, mostly because I’m offline still, but also because I’m so thrilled with Arch Linux’s performance on my old Celeron that I’m not very keen on wiping it to test Gutsy.
So instead, I’ve corralled the ugly little laptop again, swapped out the drive, and rebuilt it using the Gutsy beta. It’s still annoying at times, and still slow as heck, but works well. It’s also useful as a proper benchmark for the Gutsy guide.
Which is in a holding pattern until I can get full Internet access at home. The guide itself has been rebuilt and is ready, but I need access to some links and I want to do a full, non-beta installation before releasing it. So those are in the works.
