Just a note to readers, particularly those who speak other languages: Occasionally someone asks for permission to translate something off this blog, and repost it on their blog or part of another site.
The answer to that is a resounding yes. Remember that everything on this site is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License version 1.2, and so you don’t even need to ask for my blessing. Just take it and go.
The only stipulation to that is, when you’re done, you must also license it under the same GFDL license (version 1.2 or later, as you see fit), so that others can benefit from your efforts. It’s basically the same license as you find on most open-source software, recast to fit documentation and printed information.
If you’d like more information about the license, check my About page.
And if you do use something as a translation, or just to further disseminate, please send me a link. It’s not required, but it’s kind of fun to see where your work goes. š
