As a reward for my efforts in converting two laptops to Ubuntu, I was granted this uber-cute laptop connection set. There are USB optical mouse, USB A-to-B, A-to-mini-A and POTS connection spools here, along with a basic USB hub, all in yellow and all branded “Joe Power,” with a yellow bear as a mascot.
Jealous, aren’t you? I know you are. Everybody wants my Joe Power laptop connection pack. Best of all it comes in yellow carry case branded with the Epson (?!) logo on the spine. It makes me feel very James-Bond-meets-Powerpuff-Girls when I connect it to my XO. Linux recognizes the mouse immediately, and the USB connections work perfectly with Sugar … of course.
The irony is that a kit like this would no doubt run at least $35 at a department store in the U.S. or elsewhere. Truth be told, the original buyer got it for around $1.25 at school fundraiser in Taiwan.
There’s something to be said for living in the Asian subcontinent. 😀
I want it! Too bad I’d apparently have to pay > $35USD for it 😥
…the Asian /sub/continent…???!!!
